Community Outreach

God has called each of us to come to the aid of our fellow man ...

Jesus calls his Church to reach out in compassion, love and mercy to all people with the Good News of salvation.  For this reason, Grace has an active outreach ministry to the community and the world.

With our talents, time, and treasure we support such agencies as the local Crisis Pregnancy Center supporting CareNet efforts, the Nashua Soup Kitchen, and Nashua Children’s Association.  We have also responded to crises beyond Nashua and New England, such as the floods of the Midwest, hurricane Katrina relief and ministry in Kiev.

We reach beyond ourselves so others may see the light of Christ in us!

That said, there is plenty of opportunity for you to volunteer! Everyone is welcome to join in God's calling to aid our fellow men. Please call the church office to get involved!

Greater Nashua Interfaith Hospitality Network

GNIHN Serves the needs of local families in transition who are staying at the Anne-Marie House in Hudson, NH.  During GLCMS host week, we provide around-the-clock volunteer “chaperones” as well as meals, shopping, cleaning, playing with children and lending an ear and shoulder to any guest who has a need.  We are always looking for volunteer opportunities to share the word of Jesus.

Nashua Soup Kitchen

Grace Lutheran Church supports outreach through partnership with the Nashua Soup Kitchen.  The second Tuesday of every month is Grace’s day to prepare and serve a meal at NSK.  This 20+ years and ongoing outreach has been a blessing to those who participate.

Nashua Children's Home

Grace has been sponsoring a weekly Sunday School ( affectionately referred to as “Monday School” ) at Nashua Children’s Home for many years.  Participation is voluntary, and out of the fifty or so children residing at the home, upwards of thirty students attend the classes regularly.  We offer four separate lessons, each geared to a specific age group.
